Why You Should Always Choose Yourself? ✨
It's time to explore life choices in whatever aspect. Do you choose yourself always?
Hi lovely souls,
I hope you’re doing okay, wherever you may be. It’s been a few days or a short while since I last wrote something on my Substack. A lot has happened in that short time, and mind you, there have been some events and choices that would really impact my overall state.
To be honest, I don’t know where to start. But I know, I’m making choices to help myself grow and become a better person.
I will never know why I chose those words for the title of this entry. But, I think, it’s because that’s what has been in my mind for the past few days or weeks.
Life may give us obstacles that may feel so overpowering that we would think of retreating in a corner. It’s easy to give up and succumb to whatever life is throwing us, but it’s always rewarding to overcome those and emerge as the winner.
So, here we come to the million-dollar question.
Why you should always choose yourself?
I could give a million answers to this, but only one emerges and surpasses everything.
Choosing yourself will allow you to follow the path of becoming the best version of yourself in whatever choice you make. You won’t live with regrets because you chose what’s best for you in this lifetime.
Anyway, I can still think of some other reasons why you should choose yourself:
You will live a happy life.
You won’t regret not trying the things you wanted to try.
There’ll be peace of mind.
You get to explore the world at your pace, without anyone bugging you or clouding your thoughts.
I still think of some situations wherein you should always choose yourself:
Working in a toxic environment that harms your health (not just physical but every aspect of your health)
Unfriending people who don’t contribute to your overall growth
Upskilling and taking courses that will help you reach your goals
Not joining social activities when you don’t have the energy or not feeling well
Playing games to decompress from a long day
It may be tough to say no or reject invites because we may feel guilty or bad. But, it’s better to rip off the band-aid right away than to say yes, and not enjoy when you get there. Right?
Anyway, it may be tough to refuse or express your thoughts. But, we all need to start somewhere.
On other news, I’ve been revamping my website to include more blogs about ADHD, content marketing, SEO, lifestyle and other things. I’ve been transforming it to become my portfolio.
